The Haileybury Golf Club realizes the importance of  promoting the game of golf to our junior citizens, and therefore puts a great deal of effort into its Annual Junior Program.

The subsidized, cost is made possible with the help of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54 and is a testament to the dedication of our staff and volunteers to grow the game within our area.

Our Junior Program is open to all of the area children ages 6 to 16
Our Junior Program offers….

• Summer golf lessons every Tuesday at 9 a.m. during the months of July and August.
• We feature the full swing, short game and putting.
• Our young golfers are taught the rules and proper etiquette of golf.
• Every junior golfer receives a playing pass for 6 rounds of golf. (value of $ $59.00)
• In August we close with a tournament and BBQ, once again included in the program

The cost of the Program is $40 plus tax for non members and no charge to our junior members.

Another successful year for the Junior Program at HGC. On August 23rd, the season ended with a tournament for all the kids. The younger ones played on an improvised course at the Red Stone Golfing Range and the older group golfed at HGC. We would like to thank Raymond Paradis who took care of that program with the help of Jean-Pierre Rivet, Michel Massie, Richard Steward, Rick Walsh and Jean-Luc Lacroix. 45 to 50 kids were introduced to golf and with the improvements we noticed on the golf range, watch out for these kids in a few years!
